Its too cheap because the taxes we pay for it don't reflect the cost of defending the companies that bring it too us, not to mention the value of the lives of our soldiers who have to die so that we can drive a three ton suv five miles to buy a loaf of bread. Its too expensive because the money we pay goes to oil companies on behalf of our arab and russian enemies instead to improve our own lives. The coffee is the dark and the steamed milk is the light and how you dip the spigot in makes the main design, then with picks and rakes and additional things like chocolate syrup and crumbles and more raking one can make the more complicated designs. It's actually there. It's made out of the foam a good coffee produces (called the creme) and various other ingredients (like syrups, or the coffee itself) to make darker areas appear. Many professional baristas can do this, and it's pretty impressive. There's a cafe in Vancouver BC called cafe Artigiano that does stuff like this.
